Verify if your electronic device (phone, laptop, tablet) still receives security updates from the manufacturer. You can do a search for the model number, or check in the device security settings. Most modern devices receive security updates for roughly 3-7 years. Once a device no longer receives these updates it will be notably more vulnerable to hacking. Consider getting new devices if possible. Research how long the new devices will receive security updates before you buy them. Generally, Apple devices and Google Pixel phones have the longest support.
